Job Description

We are seeking an organized, proactive Legal Assistant with litigation experience to support attorneys handling insurance defense, premises liability, and related matters. This position is hybrid 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, edit, proofread, and e-file legal documents with Florida courts
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, notices, and other legal documents
• Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, client meetings, and other case-related events
• Maintain attorney calendars and monitor litigation deadlines
• Organize and maintain client and matter files
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, insurance representatives, and other parties
• Assist with billing, expense tracking, and administrative responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day litigation and case management support

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant supporting litigation attorneys
• Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, or a related litigation practice
• Florida court filing, calendaring, and scheduling experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple attorneys, priorities, and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced law firm environment
