HR Consultant (part-time) about 15 hours a week

We are Focus HR, we provide project and outsourced HR services to small businesses around the Chicagoland area. Client work is done mostly remote and for one particular client. Learn more about us at

Your client will be in downtown Chicago, on site 1 day is required. Responsibilities will vary according to the client. As a Consultant, who is also a generalist, the HR support you provide can be in form of compliance, new hire on-boarding, assisting with salaries and benefits, employee relations, performance reviews, policies & procedures, discipline to termination and strategy. You decide when you can do the work as long as client expectations are met.

This position is ideal for you, if you:

• Looking to make an impact in a small business
• Take initiative and willing do to the work yourself
• Learn and adapt quickly

• Have at least 10 years of HR generalist experience
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Very organized
• Proficient in MS Office
• Bi-lingual in Spanish or Polish is helpful but not required 
• Manufacturing experience is preferred 
• Have a sense of humor
